How we buy
We meet
We start with a conversation about what you’ve built and what you want from a sale.We learn
If there’s a fit, we look closely at the product, customers, and financials to understand the business. We make an offer
We make an offer and agree on a handover plan, so both sides know what happens next.
Straightforward deals
Cash at completion
Clear terms
A handover with an end date
After the sale
We buy with the intention of owning and growing the business for the long run. That means continuing to invest in the product while preserving what customers value about it.
We plan for founders to step away after the sale. If a short transition is needed, we agree on its scope and timing up front.
Your team should understand the plan and what the change in ownership means for their work.

We’ve built an education business, too.
We’re Scott Tonges and Jill Snape. We started Teach Starter in 2011 and, alongside our team, grew it into a teaching resources business used by hundreds of thousands of teachers around the world. We sold the business to TES in 2023.
Building Teach Starter taught us how much goes into earning educators’ trust. That experience shapes how we approach buying a business: understanding the product, listening to its customers, and taking responsibility for its future.
We started Edzo to help founders step into their next chapter, knowing their business is in the hands of people who understand education and will nurture what they’ve built.
