Who this policy covers
Edzo Pty Ltd (Edzo, we, us or our) operates this marketing website. This policy covers personal information handled through the site, our contact form, chat and related business enquiries. Education products operated by individual businesses may have separate privacy policies.
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us. This policy does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, business name and the information you include in an introduction, email or chat.
- Business information you choose to provide, such as your role, product details, location and sale plans. Some business information may also identify individuals.
- Messages, attachments and records of our correspondence, including interactions with automated chat assistance.
- Technical and usage information processed by our hosting and messaging providers, such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, timestamps and cookie identifiers.
How we collect it
We collect information directly when you submit a form or communicate with us, and automatically through the technologies described below. We may also receive relevant information from someone authorised to represent you, or from publicly available business sources when assessing an enquiry.
You can browse without providing your name or email. You may contact us anonymously or use a pseudonym where practical, but we may need contact details to respond or progress a business discussion. If you do not provide the information requested by the form, you can contact us by email instead.
This website is intended for business enquiries, not for children to submit information. Please do not provide student records, health information, identity documents or other sensitive information through the form or chat. If you provide another person’s information, ensure you are authorised to do so.
How we use information
We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to enquiries, maintain conversations and consider potential business relationships or acquisitions.
- Operate, maintain, secure and improve the website and our communications.
- Keep appropriate business records, obtain professional advice, resolve complaints and comply with legal obligations.
- Send relevant follow-up communications about your enquiry. If we send direct marketing, we will do so as permitted by law and provide a way to opt out.
Contact forms and Intercom
Our contact form and chat use Intercom. On submission, the form passes your name and email to your visitor contact record and includes your business name and introduction in the conversation. Intercom processes and stores the conversation so we can respond and you can continue the chat.
The Messenger loads when you visit the site, even if you do not submit a form. Chat may use Intercom’s Fin AI assistance to process messages and prepare or provide responses. You can ask to speak with our team. Please avoid sending information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
Cookies and browser storage
Intercom uses cookies and browser storage to recognise visitors and devices, maintain chat sessions and remember conversations. Some identifiers are set before you interact with the chat. The site also stores your light or dark display preference in your browser. Hosting and security services may process technical identifiers to deliver and protect the site.
You can block or delete cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may prevent chat from working or remove access to previous conversations. You can also contact us directly by email. We do not currently include a separate advertising tracker or analytics tool in the website code.
Service providers and overseas processing
Information may be available to our authorised personnel and service providers who support hosting, security, messaging, email and business administration. The website is hosted through Cloudflare, and enquiries sent through the form or chat are handled through Intercom. Relevant information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, or where required or authorised by law.
These services operate internationally. Our Intercom integration uses its United States service region; relevant data may be stored or processed in the United States. Intercom’s support affiliates may also process data in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Australia. Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical traffic data may be processed outside Australia. Provider locations may change; their current notices and subprocessor lists are linked below.
Where Australian privacy law requires it, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with that law. Contact us if you need more information about the providers or locations relevant to your enquiry.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online system or transmission is completely secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including ongoing discussions, record-keeping, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the information and context rather than a single period for every enquiry. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention requirements and backup cycles.
Access, correction and your choices
Email hello@edzo.com to request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete information, or opt out of marketing. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity.
We will respond within a reasonable period. Access, correction and deletion requests are subject to applicable law and any legitimate retention obligations. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why, where lawful, and how you can raise a complaint. There is no charge to make a request; if a lawful access charge is proposed, we will explain it beforehand.
Privacy questions and complaints
Please send privacy questions or complaints to hello@edzo.com, addressed to the Privacy Officer, Edzo Pty Ltd. Include what happened, any relevant dates and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate and aim to respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain the delay.
If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC can explain whether your complaint falls within its jurisdiction and the options available to you.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, our practices or legal requirements. The current version and its update date will appear on this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
